Clinical trials are vital for children’s cancer care. At Providence Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, 75% of kids with cancer participate in a clinical trial at some point. Each year these trials help save more lives.
“The general cure rate for all types of cancer in children and adolescents is 80%. We aim for 100%. To get there, we must keep doing clinical research,” said Judy Felgenhauer, M.D., oncologist and medical director.
