Providence Community Clinic
Sister Peter Claver partnered with Catholic Charities to create a clinic to serve community members who were experiencing chronic homelessness. Founded in 1976 and housed at the House of Charity Community Shelter for the Homeless, the clinic has served thousands of patients over the decades.
Guided by the Providence Mission and the collaborative efforts of Catholic Charities, the clinic was relocated to 32 W. Second Avenue in downtown Spokane in 2017.
The new clinic provides six modern examination rooms, a blood draw station, and is close to extended services to obtain Xray or advance services beyond what the clinic can provide.
Providence Community Clinic is made up of a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, patient care coordinators, medical social workers, chaplains, nurses, medical assistants and community partners. Each role is integral in care planning for patients served. Philanthropy allows us to meet the diverse and extensive needs of the most vulnerable in our community.
