The Providence Swedish Palliative care team provides compassionate care to patients with serious illnesses by focusing on quality of life, comfort and dignity.
Specially trained providers — including doctors, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, pharmacists and chaplains — meet frequently to discuss and customize care for each patient. Their focus is on meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and their family.
Providence St. Peter and Centralia hospitals offer palliative care to patients who are admitted to the hospital. Thanks to the innovative outpatient palliative care program that was made possible by the 2014 Christmas in the Forest, patients can also be seen on an outpatient basis in South Puget Sound.
Will you keep this critical palliative care program alive and ease the way for thousands more?
You can help alleviate suffering and improve the quality of life for thousands of patients.
Our growing and aging community is increasing the demand for palliative care services.
We need your help in easing the way for local patients and families when they need it the most.
Thank you for generously supporting the 2025 Christmas in the Forest Fund-A-Need, Palliative care.
